In October of 1980 the CWCSC held its first specialty show in conjunction with the Pasadena Kennel Club. This was the breed’s first 
regional specialty. Since then the club has held a specialty class show annually, featuring Puppy an Veteran Sweepstakes, regular conformation classes, Obedience and Junior Showmanship classes. There is a raffle following judging with wonderful prizes.
